In today’s world, so many of our foundations are slipping away.Issue VI of TwoTwoOne.NYC asks you to look at your hands. What are you creating, building, protecting or communicating? Who was the last person to hold your hand? What do you and those around you pick up, put down, or hold onto for dear life? Consider the state of your hands. What have you washed off, what stains, scars orstoriesremain? Tell us the story of your hands.

Two Two One NYC has partnered up with Marymount Manhattan College’s 2025 SOCIAL JUSTICE ACADEMY: Home, Place, & Housing Justice, which encourages radical imagination to envision the future, and how we get there. We seek pieces that evoke life worlds and lessons from past struggles for emplacement, belonging, bodily autonomy, safety, and justice in the context of stolen land, homes, labor, culture, and lives.
Each submission should include a unique outlook on this topic, whether it be written, physical artwork, or digital media.
